Biography
Teodor-Doru Brumeanu earned MD degree in 1978 from Carol Davila School of Medicine, Bucharest, Romania. Started the medical career in 1978 in the Clinical Laboratory at the Municipal Hospital, Bucharest. 1985, did the first postdoctoral training in Immunology and Immunochemistry Department, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. In 1991 he came to New York City at Mount Sinai School of Medicine for 4 years in a second postdoctoral training in cellular and molecular immunology in the Department of Microbiology. In 1995, promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor, and in 1998 to the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, New York. In 2004, he joined the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. as Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Immunology, and in 2008 has been promoted to the rank of Professor with tenure where currently performs basic and clinical research projects.
