Biography
Aneta Nitsch-Osuch, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. – a specialist in pediatrics, epidemiology and public health, the head of the Department of Social Medicine and Public Helath, Medical University of Warsaw (Poland). The senior consultant and the head of infection control team at the St Family Hospital in Warsaw. The member of the Polish Family Medicine Society, Polish Society of Pediatricians, Polish Society of Epidemiologists, Central Eastern European Pertussis Awareness Group. The member of the Scientific Board of the National Programme for Influenza Prevention and the member of the National Epidemiology and Bioterrorism Committee. The author of over 200 scientific publications in the field of epidemiology, vaccinology, public health.
Research Interest
The area of interests includes: pertussis as re-emerging disease (epidemiology and prophylaxis), influenza as a problem of public health (epidemiology and prophylaxis), vaccine hesitacy problem, hospital infection control issues, nosocomial infections (epidemiology and prevention), hospital antibiotic policies.
